Browns might be without Nick Chubb Sunday against the Patriots

The Patriots aren’t the only team facing uncertainty at running back. The Browns are in the same boat with the status of a couple players, as Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton tested positive for COVID-19, according to reports.

Both players are vaccinated, so there’s a chance Chubb and Felton could play. Each player would need two negative tests 24 hours apart to play.

The team is already down Kareem Hunt, who’s on injured reserve with a calf injury. D’Ernest Johnson is the Browns’ only healthy back.

Chubb, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, leads the team with 721 rushing yards, with six rushing touchdowns this season. On Sunday, he rushed for 137 yards in the win over the Bengals.

Johnson has done well picking up the slack. He rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown in Cleveland’s Week 7 win over Denver.
