Revolution resign striker Gustavo Bou

The New England Revolution on Tuesday signed versatile striker Gustavo Bou to a two-year contract extension through the 2023 MLS season. Bou, a native of Argentina, will continue to occupy a Designated Player and international roster spot.

Bou played a pivotal role in the Revolution’s record-breaking season with 15 goals and nine assists. Since joining the team in July 2019, Bou has 29 goals and 14 assists in 62 regular-season games.

“I was really motivated to come here because of the project taking place with the club and the coaching staff,” said Bou. “I think everything went well, the extension was simple and quick and for them to want me to renew means a lot to me.”

The Revolution captured the Supporters’ Shield and will get a first-round bye in the MLS Cup playoffs. The Revs will host an Eastern Conference semifinal on Nov. 30 against an opponent to be named later.
