Red Sox lineups: Sox set to face red hot Yankees left-hander in prime time
The Red Sox and Yankees will meet again Saturday night in prime time, with the two rivals set to face off in a nationally broadcast showdown on Fox.
Cooper Criswell (3-3, 4.13) will take the mound for Boston against New York left-hander Carlos Rodon (9-2, 2.93), who is enjoying a strong bounce back season after a disastrous first year with the Yankees. Signed for six years, $162 million prior to last year after back-to-back All-Star seasons, Rodon posted a dreadful 6.85 ERA amid a frustrating run of injuries but has settled down in Year 2 and enters this weekend having posted a win in seven consecutive starts.
Boston will counter with a heavily right-handed lineup, including Rob Refsnyder starting in right field and batting second, Tyler O’Neill starting in left field and batting third, Connor Wong catching and batting fifth and Jamie Westbrook, Bobby Dalbec and Ceddanne Rafaela batting seventh, eighth and ninth. Rafaela will also start at shortstop, allowing Jarren Duran to bump over to center and Masataka Yoshida to stay in the lineup as the designated hitter.
