The Boss returns: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band announce August concert at Gillette Stadium
Foxboro will be turning into a jungleland this summer when The Boss pulls through for his first concert at Gillette Stadium in more than half of a decade.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band announced Tuesday they want to delight more fans during their ongoing 2023 international tour, adding 22 concerts in 18 North American cities.
The Boss will be gracing the Gillette stage on Aug. 24, his first appearance at the stadium since September 2016. He previously performed in Foxboro in August 2012.
The August concert means the rock legend will be performing twice in Massachusetts this year. TD Garden is set to host The Boss and the E Street Band on March 20.
Springsteen’s Foxboro stop is using a Verified Fan ticket program through TicketMaster, which makes it easier for fans to secure tickets and harder for resellers and bots. Registration is open through Sunday before tickets go on sale Feb. 27 at 10 a.m.
Springsteen kicked off his international tour in Tampa earlier this month, his first North American show in seven years. The 73-year-old is not lifting his foot off the gas pedal as the tour lasts through early December. He will be stopping in Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto, Edmonton, among other cities.
Springsteen will be rolling through Gillette in what will be a summer parade of blockbuster concerts across the region. He will be following Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Luke Combs and Beyonce in Foxboro. Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks will round out Gillette’s summer in late September.
At Fenway Park, some of the headliners include Dead & Company, P!nk, Fall Out Boy and Morgan Wallen. And at the Garden, Madonna will be performing in late Aug. 30 and 31.
There will be a lot of dancing and singing to be had.
