Could Tom Brady venture into a new career … in comedy?
Tom Brady may be off the football field for good, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be keeping busy.
Next year, that will mean taking over in the booth for FOX Sports with his 10-year, $375 million contract.
But what will he do until then? TMZ Sports reports that Brady is “in talks with Netflix to be the center of a roast special … with a working title, ‘The Greatest Roast of All Time.’”
This wouldn’t be the first time Brady dipped his toe in the comedy waters. Back in 2005, he did a Saturday Night Live monologue.
Radar Online reported Monday that Brady is trying to pursue a stand-up comedy. TMZ Sports reports that the claim is “bogus.”
Last week, SiriusXM announced that it has signed a multi-year renewal with Brady’s podcast, Let’s Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray. The show is in its third season. It will air weekly on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio and SiriusXM NFL Radio channels and podcast versions will be available in the SXM app afterward.
Brady announced his retirement from football earlier this month. The 45-year-old spent 23 seasons in the NFL, 20 with the New England Patriots, followed by three with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He won seven Super Bowl titles, five Super Bowl MVP Awards and three NFL MVP Awards, making him a slam-dunk, first-ballot Hall of Famer when he is eligible for induction in five years.
