Patriots OT Trent Brown returns to practice Friday, 4 others missing

FOXBORO — Well, that’s a start.

Patriots offensive tackle Trent Brown returned to the field Friday after missing the team’s last two practices due to illness. His return boosted an offense that was still missing wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (concussion), running back Damien Harris (thigh) and offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn (foot). All three of those players also missed practice Thursday, putting their availability for Monday night’s game at Arizona in serious doubt.

The same is true of cornerback Jalen Mills, who continues to deal with the same groin injury that kept him out of last week’s loss to Buffalo. Practice-squad quarterback Garrett Gilbert returned after missing practice Thursday.

The Patriots will release their latest injury report Friday evening.
