Revs’ keeper Matt Turner’s transfer to English Premier League finalized

Revolution keeper Matt Turner’s summer transfer to Arsenal of the English Premier League was finalized on Friday pending the completion of a medical examination.

The terms of the transfer fee were not disclosed, but it was reported that the Revolution would receive $6 million up front with another $4 million in incentives. Turner is expected to report to Arsenal in late June.

He is expected to be in the cage when the Revolution host the round of 16 of the 2022 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League tournament against the Hattian club Cavaly AS on Tuesday night (6) at Gillette Stadium. The second clash with Cavaly will be on Feb. 22. The Revolution are one of five MLS teams participating in the tournament.
