Kennedy compound vandalism suspect ordered to undergo psychological evaluation
A judge is ordering a psychological evaluation of a 32-year-old upstate New York man who was arrested late Tuesday night for allegedly vandalizing the Kennedy family’s Hyannisport compound, court documents show.
Anthony Thomas Putnam of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., appeared in Barnstable District Court on Wednesday, but Judge Dominic Paratore has ordered an examination of the defendant as to Putnam’s “competence to stand trial,” according to the court docket. He is charged with one count of property vandalism.
Aerial photos of the property show apparent spray paint marks spelling out “ANTHONY PUTNAM I.”
More information was not immediately available as the police report was still inside the courtroom, according to the Barnstable clerk’s office.
This is a developing story …
