Danny V’s high school football Stars of the Week

DIVISION 1

  • Jake Gilbert rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns, while completing 10-of-16 for 187 yards and a touchdown as Xaverian held off St. John’s Prep, 36-35.
  • Jack Perry did his part to keep St. John’s Prep in the game as he completed 19-of-30 passes for 314 yards and four touchdowns to go along with a rushing score.
  • Karmarri Ellerbe completed 13-of-19 passes for 260 yards and three touchdowns as Everett rolled to a 44-14 win over St. John’s (Shrewsbury). Cam Mohammed was his top target, catching nine passes for 160 yards and two scores.
  • Jason Wonodi threw for 230 yards and three touchdowns as Brockton edged Bridgewater-Raynham 21-20 to clinch the Southeast Conference title.
  • Jared Arone completed 11-of-17 passes for 230 yards and three TDs as Franklin defeated King Philip 27-20. Shane Kindred caught five passes for 160 yards and three scores for the Panthers, who defeated the Warriors for the first time since 2009.
  • Kyle Durant booted a game-winning 23-yard field goal in the second overtime to give Lynn Classical a 17-14 win over Lynn English.

DIVISION 2

  • Kayden Mills rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries as Arlington defeated Waltham, 49-7.
  • Eugene Jordan broke his own single-game rushing record as he sprinted to the tune of 316 yards and three touchdowns as Barnstable defeated Falmouth, 42-7.
  • Jevon Holley rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns, while catching six passes for 65 yards and a score as Durfee defeated New Bedford, 36-14.
  • Riley O’Connell completed 15-of-22 passes for 243 yards and a touchdown, while catching and running for additional scores as Lincoln-Sudbury coasted to a 49-0 win over Newton South.
  • Jake Cullen threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns as Westford Academy defeated Acton-Boxboro, 38-21.
  • Connor Zukowski completed 12-of-15 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for a third score as Mansfield defeated Foxboro, 35-21.
  • Shea Lynch completed 13-of-14 passes for 160 yards and five touchdowns as Peabody rolled to a 41-6 win over Saugus.
  • Colby Goodchild rushed for 162 yards and a pair of scores as Reading held off Stoneham, 36-34.

DIVISION 3

  • Ben Scalzi threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns as Hanover handled Norwell, 35-7.
  • Eli Feingold booted a game-winning 37-yard field goal in the final seconds as Marblehead remained unbeaten with a 31-28 win over Swampscott.
  • Amari Marsman capped off an excellent senior season by rushing for four scores as Milton defeated Braintree, 42-7.
  • Bryan Metayer rushed for 231 yards and four touchdowns on 10 carries as Norwood rolled to a 49-29 win over Dedham.
  • Andrew Falzone ran for 167 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Walpole defeated Weymouth, 41-28.

DIVISION 4

  • T.J. Kiley completed 20-of-30 passes for 216 yards and a pair of scores as Holliston defeated Westwood, 28-22.
  • Danny Fleming rushed for 232 yards and five touchdowns, while adding a TD reception as Tewksbury outscored Wilmington, 56-35.
  • Eric Miles ran for 198 yards and four touchdowns as Bedford handled Burlington, 55-18.
  • Matt Festa completed 23-of-34 passes for 380 yards and four touchdowns, while adding a TD run as Duxbury defeated Marshfield, 38-28.
  • Adam Goodfellow rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns in Wayland’s 34-7 win over Weston.

DIVISION 5/6

  • Johnny Bennett caught a pair of touchdowns, ran for a third score and returned an interception 35 yards for a fourth TD as Dover-Sherborn defeated Medfield, 38-9.
  • Steve Donnelly ran for 249 yards and three touchdowns as Northeast rolled past Essex Tech, 42-6.
  • Steven Woods threw for 231 yards and four touchdowns as Bishop Fenwick defeated Malden Catholic, 35-23.
  • Harry Hughes ran for 134 yards and a touchdown as Old Rochester beat Apponequet, 28-7.
  • Marcus Thurston rushed for 177 yards and a touchdown on 34 carries as Archbishop Williams defeated Cardinal Spellman, 14-7.
  • Keesean Kerr ran for 128 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries as Boston English/New Mission outscored Boston Latin, 66-42.
  • David Brown capped off a terrific junior year by amassing 285 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns as St. Mary’s rolled past Austin Prep, 42-12.

DIVISION 7/8

  • Jake Reissfelder ran for 191 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries as Blue Hills defeated Bristol-Plymouth, 60-26.
  • Chris Domoracki rushed for 301 yards and four scores on 34 carries as Hamilton-Wenham defeated Ipswich, 33-14.
  • Henrique Tatara rushed for 203 yards and five touchdowns as St. John Paul beat Monomoy, 56-26.
  • Piero Canales completed 12-of-14 passes for 220 yards and four touchdowns, while rushing for a fifth, as KIPP defeated Lynn Tech, 38-12.
  • Timel Leviner rushed for 175 yards and a touchdown as Brighton won the Boston South title with a 30-12 win over Tech Boston.
