Chicago Bears outside linebacker Khalil Mack sells Glencoe mansion for $3.9M
Chicago Bears outside linebacker Khalil Mack on Monday sold his six-bedroom, 6,100-square-foot mansion in Glencoe for $3.9 million.
A six-time Pro Bowler, Mack, 30, played in seven games for the Bears this year before undergoing season-ending foot surgery.
In Glencoe, Mack made a slight profit on the 15-room mansion, which he purchased new in 2018 for $3.75 million.
In June, Mack officially listed the mansion for $5 million. He cut his asking price in September to $4.65 million.
Built in 2017, the mansion has six full bathrooms, three half-baths, four fireplaces, a custom-built walnut library, an enclosed screened porch with a hot tub, a slate roof, copper gutters and a lower level with a wine cellar, a yoga studio, a media room and an exercise room. The mansion sits on a gated, 0.5-acre property.
“The home presented itself as if it were new construction,” listing agent Michael LaFido of eXp Realty told Elite Street. “We produced a ton of interest and traffic. We had many agents laugh at the price and they said we would never sell for more than he paid.”
LaFido co-listed the mansion with Luther Robinson, who is Mack’s manager and who runs a Florida real estate brokerage, Robinson Luxury Group. Both agents specialize in representing athletes.
Mack now owns a three-bedroom condominium on the Gold Coast. He purchased that condominium in March for $6.85 million.
Public records do not yet identify the buyer of the Glencoe mansion.
The mansion had a $35,900 property tax bill in the 2020 tax year.
