Wide receiver N’Keal Harry hopes to help Patriots red zone woes
N’Keal Harry, who returned to action against the Buccaneers after being activated off injured reserve, believes he can still help the Patriots.
During the 19-17 loss Sunday night, he made one catch for 10 yards, and also drew a pass interference penalty. Most of his snaps were down in the red zone, where the Patriots have struggled.
Against the Buccaneers, the Patriots got into the end zone on two of three red zone tries. Against the Saints the previous week, they were 0-for-1.
“I would love to make an impact anywhere, but definitely in the red zone,” Harry said during a video call Monday. “I feel like I could provide a good threat.”
Harry said he was happy to be back after missing the first three weeks, and felt like he and Mac Jones had maintained their chemistry from training camp.
“I don’t feel like we skipped a beat,” said Harry. “Obviously, route-running, a lot of it is timing. I don’t feel like we took any steps backward.”
Harry was also very upbeat about the team in wake of being 1-3.
“When I look at last night’s game, I’m proud of the way we fought. I’m proud of the way we battled as a team. We just have to eliminate some of the errors and some of the small things that can end up hindering us,” he said. “But I feel like the sky is the limit with this team. For us to be able to go toe to toe with them last night, I feel like we can go toe to toe with anybody in this league. I think it’s more about us, and how we respond moving forward.”
