Patriots down four starting offensive linemen at practice Wednesday

The Patriots lost starting left tackle Isaiah Wynn and left guard Mike Onwenu to the COVID-19 reserve list Tuesday.

On Wednesday, they were down two more starting offensive linemen at practice.

Right tackle Trent Brown and right guard Shaq Mason were missing for the start of a full-pads session, leaving only center David Andrews all alone up front. Backup defensive lineman Henry Anderson, who reportedly tore a pectoral muscle last Sunday against the Bucs and will miss the season, was also absent. The Pats debuted a new defender wearing No. 13 at practice.

It’s unclear what position he plays, though all transactions must be announced after the conclusion of league business hours at 4 p.m. The Patriots will also release their first practice report of the week Wednesday evening.

They return to action Sunday at 1 p.m. in Houston.
