Man dies at East Boston construction site incident: Police
A man died at a construction site incident in East Boston this morning, according to police.
Boston police officers responded to 187 Sumner St., at around 11:19 a.m., for the reported accident at a new building under construction. The address is at the corner of Paris Street, and near the Maverick T station.
Upon arrival, investigators found an adult male, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Boston Police Homicide Unit, the Boston Inspectional Services Department and Occupational Safety and Health Administration are all investigating the incident.
An OSHA spokesman said, “OSHA is responding to a reported fall at this address.”
The project involves the construction of a new 42-unit, seven-story building and the renovation of an existing 26,800-square-foot building in Maverick Square.
