Patriots linebacker Matt Judon sees greatness ahead for Josh Uche

Matt Judon, who signed a lucrative four-year deal to play with the Patriots, is well into the process of getting to know his surrounding cast on the front seven.

One player he’s expecting to make the Year 2 leap is fellow linebacker Josh Uche.

“Uche is going to be great, man. He’s a sponge. He’s soaking up so much knowledge and he can play any position. Anywhere in the front seven,” said Uche. “We don’t really want him at nose, but if he gotta do it, he’ll do it. And he’ll do it with a smile.

“So, I love jelling with Uche, and just shooting the . . . with Uche,” he went on. “So far, he’s been really cool.”

The former Raven is doing his best to bond with his new teammates, or “his brothers” as he called them. He also spoke highly of Dont’a Hightower and Kyle Van Noy.

“I ask Kyle questions all the time, and especially High, too. And we joke around, and the whole linebacker room, Bent (Ja’Whaun Bentley), Kwon (Raekwon McMillan), we always all together as much as we can be.

“We just talk to one another, if that’s X’s and O’s, shoes, cars, clothes, good restaurants around the town, we’re just always talking.”
