Patriots sign journeyman WR Marvin Hall to complete 90-man roster

The Patriots filled their last open roster spot Friday by signing journeyman wide receiver Marvin Hall.

Hall participated in his first team practice on Friday. Last season, he caught 17 passes for 290 yards and a couple touchdowns over 11 games in Detroit, before he was waived in December. Cleveland claimed him off waivers the following day, and Hall appeared in one game with the Browns, making one catch for 12 yards.

The 28-year-old started his career in Arizona as an undrafted free agent in 2016, then moved to Atlanta the following season, when he was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster. He caught two passes for 60 yards and a touchdown in limited action. In total, Hall has logged six starts and 45 game appearances over his career. He can also return kicks.

Known foremost for his speed, the newest Patriot wideout checks in at 5-foot-10 and 192 pounds. He joins Nelson Agholor, Kendrick Bourne, Jakobi Meyers, N’Keal Harry, Gunner Olszewski, Isaiah Zuber, Devin Smith and Kristian Wilkerson on the team’s depth chart.
