‘Mass-casualty incident’ reported in Winthrop
Officers are responding to a “mass-casualty incident” in Winthrop, a police department spokeswoman said.
The incident occurred in the area of Shirley Street and Veterans Road, she said.
“We have multiple units on scene, including patrols, detectives and crime scene assisting local police for a shooting incident with multiple victims in the area of 44 Veterans Road,” said David Procopio, a State Police spokesman.
