72,302 more coronavirus vaccine shots given in Massachusetts, almost 3.3 million people fully vaxxed
More than 72,000 coronavirus vaccine doses were administered in Massachusetts during the most recent day of vax data on Wednesday, as almost 3.3 million people in the state are fully vaxxed.
Nearly 7.3 million vax doses have been given since the start of the state’s rollout, according to the state Department of Public Health’s daily vaccination report on Wednesday.
The grand total of 7.3 million breaks down to 3,991,753 people who have received at least one dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine; 3,054,947 people who have received both doses of Pfizer or Moderna; and 235,125 people who have received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
That’s an increase of 72,302 doses from Tuesday’s total.
Overall, 3,290,072 people in Massachusetts have been fully vaccinated. The state is on track to hit its goal of 4.1 million fully vaxxed people by early June.
More than 8.6 million doses have been shipped to the Bay State, and more than 84% of total doses shipped to the state have been administered.
The state’s data on COVID deaths, cases and hospitalizations was delayed on Wednesday.
