SUNDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS
BOYS BASKETBALL
Behind 16 points from senior JoJo Powers and 10 from classmate Matt Ryan, Dedham (6-0) remained unbeaten with a 67-42 win over Bellingham in the Tri-Valley League.
Senior Jake Generazzo had 19 points to lead the way while junior Patrick White filled the stat sheet with 18 points, seven assists and six rebounds as Apponequet (3-2) downed Old Rochester, 63-52, in South Coast Conference play.
Julian Webb scored 12 points as Cathedral edged Bishop Stang, 58-54, in the Catholic Central League.
Ryan Hutchinson had 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Carter Coffey added 18 points and 12 rebounds as Hamilton-Wenham (3-1) defeated Lynnfield, 67-55, in the Cape Ann League.
BOYS HOCKEY
Conor Spinale and Courtland Hare notched their first varsity goals in Scituate’s 8-1 win over Pembroke in the Patriot League.
John Polito registered his 100th career point as Abington defeated Cohasset, 5-2, in the South Shore League.
Owen Giangrande posted the shutout as St. Mary’s defeated Bishop Feehan, 3-0, in the Catholic Central League.
GIRLS HOCKEY
Gabby Davern, Lauren Diranian and Emmy Perry all scored for Bishop Fenwick (5-2) in a 3-1 victory over Arlington Catholic.
GYMNASTICS
Katie McCormick won the all-around (36.1), bars (8.6), floor (9.2) and the vault with a career high (9.6) as Notre Dame defeated Falmouth/Mashpee, 135.35-131.45.
Zoe Duran captured the bars and floor as well as the all-around (36.75) as Norton defeated Medway co-op, 141.95-133.5 in the TriValley League.
