Police seek help identifying man wanted in connection with alleged sex assault

Boston police are seeking the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with an alleged sex assault that occurred early Sunday in the Public Garden.

Police said the alleged assault took place at approximately 2:03 a.m.. Police said the suspect initially met the victim on Bromfield Street and forcefully brought her through Boston Common to the Public Garden, where the alleged assault took place.

The suspect was described as a “unknown male.”  In the photo released by police, he is wearing jeans, a dark top and a baseball cap.
