WEDNESDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS

FIELD HOCKEY

Paige Hawkins scored twice as Sandwich (3-0) cruised to a 3-0 win over Dennis-Yarmouth in the Cape and Islands League… Kyra Cole scored the decisive goal off an assist from Jackie Bailey as Sturgis East prevailed over St. John Paul II, 2-1.

Sarah Molloy registered a hat trick as Lincoln-Sudbury defeated Westford Academy, 3-1, in the Dual County League.

Charlotte Wilson buried a pair of goals and recorded an assist to propel Wellesley to a 5-2 Bay State Conference crossover win over Brookline… Hannah Jackle recorded eight saves to preserve a 3-1 win for Braintree against Milton…

In a Hockomock League matchup, Georgia Costello scored twice for Oliver Ames in a 3-1 win over Foxboro.

GOLF

Jack McPartland medaled for Norton by shooting a 40 to pace a 261-279 win over Bellingham in the Tri-Valley League…Medalist Henry Reilly shot a 2-over 37 as Medfield (3-4) defeated Norwood, 239-248.

Andrew Curley registered an even-par 36 for Duxbury as it edged Patriot League foe Hingham, 248-250…Junior Luke Merlan shot 3-over 38 for Pembroke (7-1) in a 249-253 victory against Hanover… Austin Ryan posted a 2-under 35 to lead Scituate (7-1) past Quincy, 256-292.

Luke Smith led the way with 32 points as St Mary’s handled Cardinal Spellman, 182-130, in the Catholic Central League. … Matt Costello posted a 4-over 40 as Bishop Stang (6-0) earned a 170-157 win over Bishop Feehan.

Evan Giggy’s score of 35 and Cade Cedorchuk’s 37 proved enough to keep Andover (7-0) undefeated in a 231-246 win over North Andover in the Merrimack Valley Conference Large.

Logan Domenico and Jake Kaplan each shot a 37 for Oliver Ames (5-0) in a 153-160 Hockomock League win over Foxboro.

Behind a 1-under-par 35 from John Webster III, St. John Paul II (6-0) defeated Cape & Islands League foe Cape Cod Academy, 4.5-1.5.

Newburyport (8-0) received 32 points from Andrew Cullen to top Amesbury, 136-72, in Cape Ann League play.

In the Dual County League, Jacob Finard shot a 1-under-par 33 to lead Weston to a 107-81 over Boston Latin… Weston Jones fired a 3-under 33 with four birdies to help deliver a 121-94 win for Lincoln-Sudbury over Westford Academy.

Liam Milne earned medalist honors with a 41 as Shawsheen (6-0) defeated Greater Lowell, 133-40, in the Commonwealth Athletic Conference.

Kyle Wilcox fired a 2-over-par-38 as Bridgewater-Raynham (6-0) defeated New Bedford, 90-77, in the Southeastern Conference.

Colby Sanville fired a 1-over-36 to lead Wellesley to a 109-70 win over Brookline in the Bay State Conference.

BOYS SOCCER

Colin Milliken scored a goal and dished out three assists, while Mathias Taylor netted two tallies as Oliver Ames (3-0) cruised to a 5-0 Hockomock League win over Foxboro… Evan McEvoy scored twice for King Philip (3-1) in a 4-1 victory over Franklin.

Zach Campana scored the game’s only goal and Max Brande had seven saves as Wayland edged Bedford, 1-0, in the Dual County League.

Liam Blaisdell scored twice as Plymouth South beat Hanover, 3-0, in the Patriot League.

Matthew DiGiacomo potted the game-winner as Sandwich trimmed Falmouth, 1-0, in the Cape and Islands.

Sam Sultani and Luiggi Ferreira each scored twice as Greater Lowell defeated Innovation Academy, 6-2.

Josh Stanieich scored twice as North Reading trimmed Rockport, 2-1, in the Cape Ann League.

Ryan Fraher scored the game’s only goal and Jacob Guarino earned the shutout as St. Mary’s (2-3) edged Austin Prep, 1-0, in the Catholic Central League. … Nolan Duffy, Tate Demons, Ryan Enright and Craig Scharland were the goal scorers as Bishop Feehan doubled up on Archbishop Williams, 4-0.

Kyle Joyce erupted for five goals and an assist to lead Peabody to a 6-1 Northeastern Conference win over Swampscott.

GIRLS SOCCER

Maddie DiNapoli found the back of the net with 21 seconds left to lift North Reading to a 2-1 Cape Ann League win over Rockport…Olivia Novello finished off a cross from Colby Filosa in the final minute to lift Ipswich, 2-1, over Triton on senior night.

In the Cape and Islands League, Clara Woodard registered a hat trick to power Sandwich (3-0) over Falmouth, 4-1.

Olivia Borgen potted a pair of goals as Whitman-Hanson (3-0-1) took down Silver Lake, 5-2, in Patriot League action… Carly Schofield came through with a goal and assist as Plymouth North downed Marshfield, 2-0.

Kylie Fuller netted four goals to spark West Bridgewater to an 8-3 triumph against Durfee in Southeastern Conference play.

Mary Cross and Jenna Gilman each scored as Oliver Ames (0-0-3) and Foxboro played to  2-2 tie in the Hockomock League.
