FIELD HOCKEY

Rowan Galanis registered the game-winning goal for the second straight game as Ipswich (2-0) defeated Rockport, 1-0, in the Cape Ann League. …  Vivian Burr and Madeleine Mogervo with Ally Countie assisting on both of them as Georgetown improved to 2-0 with a 2-0 win over Hamilton-Wenham. Brownwyn Hadley had seven saves for the Royals. … Ava Czarnota registered a hat trick, powering North Reading to a 7-1 romp of Triton. … Callie Beauparlant scored twice as Newburyport edged Pentucket, 3-2.

Senior Alyssa Farias scored the lone goal of the game to boost Bishop Stang (1-1-0) past Bishop Feehan, 1-0, in the Catholic Central League.

In Hockomock League action, Georgia Costello and Julia Maclaine each recorded two goals and an assist to lead Oliver Ames (1-0) to a 5-1 win over North Attleboro. … Behind 22 saves from Makenzie Manning,  King Philip (1-0) held on for a 3-2 win over Mansfield. Isabelle Crocker powered the Warriors with two second-half scores. … Franklin got hat tricks from both Kaitlyn Carney and Steph Bell, with Carney also adding three assists, in a 10-0 rout of Milford.

Erin Boehner scored an unassisted goal and Sara Spatola scored off an assist from junior Emma Lavigne as Bridgewater-Raynham beat Brockton, 2-1, in the Southeastern Conference.

… Morginn Kotchian registered the first two goals of her varsity career and Grace Morey had a pair as well in 5-1 win for Bishop Fenwick (1-0-1) over Central Catholic in a nonleague contest.

GOLF

Strong performance from the final group of Jake Kaplan and Will Gianni helped Oliver Ames (3-0) rally from four strokes down to defeat North Attleboro, 161-165, in the Hockomock League.

Spencer Dumas shot an even-par 36 as Xaverian defeated Catholic Memorial, 238-272, in the Catholic Conference. … Aidan LeBlanc shot a 35, while teammates Brandon Farrin and Alex Landry posted a 37 as St. John’s Prep edged BC High, 231-236.

Aidan Emmerich scored a 36 as St. Mary’s won its first match of the year, defeating Cardinal Spellman, 198-143, in the Catholic Central League. … An even-par round of 36 earned Kyle Farias 36 points to pace Bishop Stang (4-0) in a 169-139 victory over Austin Prep.

Andrew Curley shot a 39 as Duxbury defeated Marshfield, 253-257, in the Patriot League. … Senior captains Delaney Miller and Jimmy Schissel both shot 40 as Pembroke (4-1) edged Scituate, 261-266.

Justin Peters racked up 25 points under the Stableford system for Bridgewater-Raynham (4-0) in an 87-68 win over Dartmouth in the Southeastern Conference.

Colin Norkavicous shot a 38, while teammates Sam Hood, Emma Abramson and

Thomas Hurley pitched in with 39s’ as Sandwich (3-0) defeated Falmouth, 237-273, in the Cape and Islands League.

John Webster earned medalist honors with a 29, while Timmy Adams and Sam Scioletto stepped up to help St. John Paul (4-0) defeated Rising Tide, 4-2.

Sophomore Austin Russell led the charge with a PR 17 points as Wayland defeated Boston Latin, 98-76, in the Dual County League.

Derek Roman shot a 38 and Sean Scannell added a 39 as Dover-Sherborn edged Medfeld, 253-257, in the Tri-Valley League. … Drew Morse shot a 37 as Hopkinton beat Norton, 240-283.

BOYS SOCCER

Justin Gomes notched a pair of goals to lead Milton to a 3-2 win over Walpole to kick off the Bay State Conference season.

Sophomore Nick Hirati and junior Nolan Kirk-Elliot each netted a goal apiece, powering Duxbury (1-1) to a 2-0 shutout of Patriot League rival, Silver Lake. … Harry Cooley proved to be a difference maker, burying two goals to carry Marshfield to a 4-0 blanking of Whitman-Hanson. … Luke Saia had a hat trick and an assist as Pembroke (2-0) coasted to an 8-1 win over Quincy. … Paul Forbes had two goals, while Cole Sampson added the other one as Hingham edged Plymouth North, 3-2.

Liam Foley registered a hat trick as Xaverian defeated Malden Catholic, 4-0, in the Catholic Conference. … BC High got goals from Anatoliy Berezyuk, Ted Limbert and Ryan Parks while Giovanni Coraluppi posted a shutout in his first varsity start in a 3-0 victory over Catholic Memorial.

GIRLS SOCCER

Kayla Cassidy struck for the game-winner and Kelsee Wozniak also scored for Whitman-Hanson (2-0) in a 2-1 victory over Marshfield in the Patriot League. … Jill and Jenna Hendriksen each recorded a pair of assists to lead Pembroke (2-0) past Quincy, 4-1.

Caroline Hood had the game’s lone goal as Needham opened up Bay State Conference play with a 1-0 blanking of Brookline.

Bridget Gleason scored the game’s only goal as Sandwich edged Barnstable, 1-0, in the Cape and Islands.

VOLLEYBALL

Jamie Hall registered 22 assists and seven aces in her varsity debut, while Ava Crane added 10 kills and seven aces as Dartmouth defeated West Bridgewater, 3-0, in the Southeastern Conference.
