A plan for voting
Here’s a possible solution for voting in November: the entire week is devoted to voting.
On Monday, Nov. 2, people with SS #s that end with 0 and 1, vote. On Tuesday, Nov. 3, people with SS #s that end with 2 and 3, vote. That goes on until Friday night, Nov. 6, after people with SS #s 8 and 9 vote, the polls close and the counting begins. By Saturday morning we will know the winner.
There’s two pluses with this: a valid SS # and a smaller crowd at the polls, reducing chances of contracting COVID-19 (if you can go to a supermarket with a mask on, why can’t you go to a voting poll with a mask on?). I don’t know what the security of the ballots would be, or the cost, but if the winner is not declared by Jan. 20, 2021, Nancy Pelosi will be the acting president.

Vote by mail
Voting by mail should replace voting at the polls in its entirety. The two institutions that can definitely be trusted is the County Board of Elections and the U.S. Postal Service. The money saved by eliminating the need for poll workers could be used to offer free postage on the envelopes used to vote by mail. The person voting would also have more time to consider what they are voting for and would not be confined to the hours of the polling place. It would also prevent unwanted entry to schools and churches from anyone trying to harm someone.
In addition the voter would not be harassed by someone trying to place unsolicited campaign literature into their hand. The additional revenue would boost the Postal Service and perhaps keep it afloat until we as a country are able to vote online. Voting by mail would solve the registered voter problem and guarantee safe passage of the ballots to the County Board of Elections. It might even prevent further spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Apology from Midler
Bette Midler needs to apologize to first lady Melania Trump for her vile, racist comments. While Midler has the right like all American people to criticize President Trump’s policies she went over the line in attacking the manner in which Mrs. Trump speaks. Imagine the outrage by the liberal media if say some actor made similar remarks about Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris. They would be calling for that person to be fired from whatever movie or TV show they are on.

Burned up over Baker
When is Governor Baker going to be held accountable for the 75 deaths at the Holyoke Soldiers’ Home and the thousands more who died in the state-regulated nursing homes? If that wasn’t bad enough, he continues to violate and restrict of our civil rights.
He attempts to justify his “emergency actions ” on nebulous data while the current percentage of people testing positive for COVID-19 is lower than that of a normal flu season.
How can you justify prohibiting beer on a golf course but allowing a soda in the name of public health or requiring flu vaccines for all students but not for their teachers. It makes no sense and is arbitrary and capricious. It has to stop. The courts need to wake up and start upholding our constitutional rights.
