Boston fire truck hits SUV, firefighters taken to hospital
A Boston fire truck hit a vehicle pulling out of Angell Animal Medical Center in Jamaica Plain Thursday, authorities said.
The Tower Ladder 10 truck was on the way to a building fire at 4:41 p.m. when it struck an SUV pulling out of the medical center’s exit, said Brian Alkins, a Boston Fire Department spokesman.
The SUV’s driver declined medical attention, Alkins said, but five firefighters were taken to a hospital for evaluation.
A Boston Police Department spokeswoman said she did not know whether the fire truck’s driver was cited.
