Police investigate fatal shooting in Boston

Boston police are investigating a fatal shooting in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood.

Officers were called to Wheatland Avenue around 4 p.m. Saturday on a report of a shooting. An injured man found at the scene was taken to a local hospital, where he later died, police say.

The man’s name has not been released. No arrests have been made. Police say it’s the city’s 18th homicide of the year.
