Shailene Woodley wears a bounce house on the red carpet

I don’t know about you, morsels, but I’m a bit miffed about the non-fancy pantsedness of Pantone’s color of the year for 2020. It’s “Classic Blue,” a ho-hum name for a shade Pantone describes as “a boundless blue evocative of the vast and infinite evening sky.”

I liked it when Pantone picked shades with more scintillating sobriquets, like Tangerine Tango and Tiger Lily. I’d even go for a Melancholy Mollusk or Insouciant Earwig over run-of-the-meh Classic Blue.

Fortunately I don’t have to do much to keep up with the trend — just add a few more recycling bins to the front yard and I’m done.

Speaking of letdowns, the getups snagged in this week’s red carpet stakeout would deflate anyone’s mood.

Let me cheer up this Blue Angel, and I’ll file my report:

BLUE ANGEL

1 oz. white creme de cacao

1 oz. blue curacao

2 oz. vodka

Pour ingredients into mixing glass. Add ice, stir to chill, and strain into cocktail glass.
