Dorchester man charged in deadly 2018 Mattapan shooting

A Dorchester man accused of pulling the trigger in a deadly 2018 Mattapan shooting is facing murder and weapons charges, police said.

Marcus Ambroisio, 24, of Dorchester, was arrested on Saturday on Theodore Street almost a year after the deadly shooting that claimed the life of 25-year-old Gregory Phillips of Dorchester.

Police responded to a call for a shooting at on Dec. 10, 2018 where they found Phillips suffering from gunshot wounds. Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ambroisio will be arraigned on charges of murder and unlawful possess of a firearm in Dorchester District Court on Monday.
