Massachusetts man accused of killing his mother’s partner: DA

A local man is accused of killing his mother’s partner, according to officials who said the son stabbed his mom’s partner to death.

Middleboro man Andrew Horsman, 41, has been arrested and charged with murder following the fatal stabbing Saturday night, the Plymouth DA’s office announced.

He’s charged with killing 66-year-old man Paul Pomerleau — who was in a long-term relationship with Horsman’s mother.

Middleboro police officers responded after 8 p.m. on Saturday to a report of a fight and a man stabbed at 19 Fairview St.

First responders at the scene found Pomerleau suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported to Morton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

After interviewing witnesses, police determined that Horsman was the stabbing suspect. He was taken into custody near the residence without incident.

Witnesses at the scene told detectives that an argument at the home led to the stabbing.

Detectives then obtained an arrest warrant for Horsman, and they charged him with murder.

The investigation was active and ongoing.
