Patriots-Bills injury report: Damien Harris among 8 questionable, Rhamondre Stevenson out

The Patriots offense is officially shorthanded heading into its biggest game of the season.

Running back Rhamondre Stevenson and wide receiver Nelson Agholor were ruled out Friday after missing practice all week. Stevenson battled a non-COVID illness, while Agholor failed to clear the NFL’s concussion protocols. If veteran wideout Kendrick Bourne is not activated off COVID-19 reserve, Jakobi Meyers will be the Pats’ only established receiver available against Buffalo on Sunday.

According to a source, the Patriots are hoping Bourne can test out of the league’s COVID protocols on Saturday. If he is not activated by 4 p.m., he will not play against the Bills.

Without Stevenson, the Pats are down to starting running back Damien Harris, Brandon Bolden and backup J.J. Taylor in the backfield.

Harris was one of eight players listed as questionable Friday. Linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley, who left last weekend’s loss at Indianapolis with a hurt ankle, is also questionable.

Harris did not play against the Colts due to a hamstring injury, which has now limited him for six straight practices. Taylor was activated off COVID-19 reserve Wednesday, following a three-week bout with the virus. The Patriots could also elevate practice-squad running back Devine Ozigbo for a second straight week to provide depth.

In Buffalo, the Bills only listed defensive tackle Star Lotulelei on their final injury report. The 315-pound run stuffer missed the team’s last two practices due to personal reasons.
