Administrator at Roxbury’s Madison Park High School fired, investigation underway

An administrator at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School in Roxbury was fired for conduct that “violated Boston Public Schools policies,” and the matter was turned over to the police, according to the district.

In a Nov. 8 letter sent to families, Madison Park Head of School Sidney Brown wrote that the staff member, who is unnamed, was alleged to have engaged in conduct that violated district policies and is no longer employed by BPS.

“Given the severity of the allegations, the matter was referred to the appropriate law enforcement authorities for further investigation,” Brown wrote, adding that a criminal investigation is ongoing.

A BPS spokesman could not share the name of the employee and said that no one has filled the role of the administrator yet.

Brown said to families, “All of us at Madison Park, along with the entire BPS team, are committed to providing all members of our community with the support they need.”

A spokesman for the Boston Police Department declined to comment on the matter, and said no arrests have been made at this time.
