BC lacrosse star Charlotte North named ACC female Athlete of the Year
Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence and Boston College lacrosse attacker Charlotte North on Thursday were named the ACC’s male and female athletes of the year.
North is the second BC lacrosse player to score the award. Kenzie Kent, who was also a four-year Hockey East standout, was the ACC recipient in 2017.
North led the Eagles to the 2021 national championship with an NCAA single-season record 102 goals. North was the recipient of the 2021 Tewaaraton Award, given annually to the nation’s top male and female college lacrosse players. North, a native of Dallas, Texas, was also named the IWLCA Player of the Year and the Honda Award winner.
“It is a dream come true to play in the ACC, the most competitive conference with a tremendous amount of talented and inspiring athletes,” said North.
