Patriots announce start date of training camp and other open dates for fans
The Patriots announced they will open training camp on Wednesday, July 28, on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium.
Fans will get their first look at the 2021 edition, which starts at the top with Cam Newton leading the charge at quarterback, and rookie first-round pick Mac Jones expected to put up a fight to earn the starter’s role.
With the pandemic closing down sites to fans last season, Patriots fans will be on hand on July 28, with the team also confirming open practices on Thursday, July 29, Friday, July 30 and Saturday, July 31.
The times for the workouts will be updated and confirmed on the Patriots training camp website, https://ift.tt/3x8s9th, and on the Patriots and Gillette Stadium apps, at some point prior to the start of camp.
In addition, the Pats announced that they will host two practices inside Gillette Stadium. The first will be the annual event for Season Ticket Members and Foxboro residents on Friday, Aug. 6. The team will also host an in-stadium practice on Tuesday, Aug. 10 for the general public.
Other dates and times for training camp practices will be announced at a later date and posted on the training camp website.
This year marks the 62nd annual training camp for the Patriots, including their 19th consecutive camp at Gillette Stadium.
