Patriots sign former Falcons LB LaRoy Reynolds
The Patriots have signed former Falcons linebacker LaRoy Reynolds, the team announced Wednesday.
The 30-year-old linebacker is expected to compete for a core special teams spot in training camp. Reynolds played 16 games for Atlanta last season, making 10 special teams tackles, plus three more on defense. He’s also spent time in Jacksonville, Chicago, Philadelphia and Cincinnati since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2013.
Overall, Reynolds has made seven career starts out of 155 regular-season game appearances. He’s totaled 65 tackles on defense and 53 on special teams. Reynolds checks in at 6-foot-1 and 243 pounds.
His addition followed agreements the team reached with running back James White and defensive tackle Lawrence Guy earlier in the day.
