Molly Trainor registered nine kills, while Antonia Mukiibi added 15 digs and six aces as Lowell Catholic (5-3) defeated Mystic Valley, 3-1, in the Commonwealth Athletic Conference. … Molly Wetherbee’s 12 kills and two aces led Essex Tech to a 3-0 win over Whittier, 3-0. … Anna Falasca had 11 service aces as Northeast handled Nashoba Tech, 3-0.
Rylee Botelho tallied 23 assists, helping Fairhaven (1-1) blank Somerset-Berkley, 3-0, in the South Coast Conference. … Lexi Vander Pol (12 kills, 13 digs) and Sally Butler (12 kills, 11 service points) teamed up to help carry Old Rochester to a 3-0 victory over Case.
In Bay State action, Alexa Gay recorded 14 digs, six kills, and four aces to lead Braintree past Brookline, 3-0.
In a Dual County League game, Lily Sills recorded 9 kills, 9 digs, and three aces while Corinne Herr added 16 kills to pace Concord-Carlisle to a 3-0 defeat of Westford. … Josie Hanlon had 27 digs, 13 service receptions, and 14 service points as Acton-Boxboro held off Newton South, 3-2.
Junior Kate Powers finished with 10 kills to go with six assists and five blocks, while Sam Berenson (34 digs) and Cathryn Leighton (20 assists) provided help to lead Hopkinton (6-1) to a 3-1 victory over Westwood in the Tri-Valley League.
