Mail-in ballots
I have a suggestion for the Massachusetts Democratic leadership — let’s do away with elections. And Democrats can appoint themselves. Speaker Mariano states, “The House looks to make mail-in ballots a permanent way to vote.” Secretary of State Galvin is looking to do away with absentee ballots altogether and allow same day voter registration. And Sen Rausch wants anyone who voted by mail-in ballots to permanently continue to vote this way, with the voter having the choice to opt out. Neither of these proposals have any accountability, yet Democrats are pushing for no-accountability elections, which will be rife with fraud. How else did Biden. while not campaigning and with no money. and Harris. who dropped out in December 2019. become the Democrat dream team? We knew that when these two received the most votes in election history mail-in ballots were here to stay.

Unreliable energy
Weather is fickle. Relying on wind and sun for energy was proven in Texas as unreliable. When will people realize the obvious? Energy requirements demand a multi-source supply that includes some wind and solar energy, but coal, oil and hopefully more nuclear energy is the answer.

Terminated over posts
What has been happening in America over the course of this pandemic is scary. The news that a state worker was terminated from her job over her online comments (“Employee fired over online posts,” Boston Herald, Feb. 23) is very much disturbing.
It would appear her rights have been trampled and she indeed should consider legal action to restore her state employment. Denise Foley’s crime for getting canned from her job as a MassHealth director of internal and external training was a reported posting by her on a private Milton Facebook group concerning a literature drop in her neighborhood advocating for neighbors to turn in neighbors over the issue of not wearing a mask.
On Facebook, she called spying on neighbors sounding “like what the Nazis did in Germany” and then added, “I have the right NOT to wear a mask if I don’t want to…If that’s a problem for you or anyone else, report me.”
She was fired for using her First Amendment rights, which were clearly violated. Don’t we still have a Bill of Rights that makes sure our rights are protected from those using COVID-19 to usurp what we fought a revolution to win?
Our Founding Fathers must be rolling over in their graves over what just happened to Denise Foley.

Activist Biden
Joe Biden campaigned as a centrist Democrat, but has acted as an activist from the left since assuming the presidency. This hypocritical transformation was as smooth as abseiling down a greased rope onto a soft pillow of hard left priorities — open borders, student loan forgiveness notwithstanding moral hazard, chatter about higher taxes, some hard left cabinet nominations sure to engender Senate dustups, pipeline cancellation irrespective of blue collar unemployment, return to the Paris climate accord without even a hint of practical benefit for the problem of global warming due to lack of enforcement provisions for the major culprits, and a huge COVID relief bill without Republican input pursuant to a ‘reconciliation’ shortcut. President Biden’s sharp left elbow belies the idea of a return to normalcy as he succors the progressives in his party while slamming the more than 70 million who voted against him.
