SUNDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS

BOYS BASKETBALL

Patrick White piled up 21 points, 13 rebounds and five assists and Mike Henricksen added 16 points and eight boards as Apponequet posted a 58-54 win in overtime against South Coast Conference foe Fairhaven. …Behind 18 points from Kyle Blanchard, Seekonk edged Old Rochester, 52-50.

Matty Boen had a monster game, exploding for a career-high 38 points with nine rebounds, six assists and three steals, to lead Mansfield past Sharon, 77-60, in the Hockomock League.

Playing for the third straight day, Archbishop Williams (10-3) got 21 points and 10 rebounds from Andre Mills and 20 points and 10 rebounds from Jack McCarthy in a 79-55 win over Cristo Rey.

Keenan Rudy-Phol scored 19 points as Lowell Catholic (5-0) remained unbeaten with a 57-41 win over Nashoba Tech in the Commonwealth Athletic Conference.

Vanilton Xavier scored 15 points as Brockton rolled to an 85-41 nonleague win over Abington.

Rocco DeSantes scored 17 points as Marshfield defeated Duxbury, 57-50, in the Patriot League.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Hopkinton had three players score in double figures in a 53-43 Tri-Valley League win over Dedham. Kiki Fossbender had 14 points, Caroline Connell 11 and Lauren Cho 10 for the Hillers to offset a 25-point effort from Avery O’Connor for the Marauders.

Abby Lens had a big afternoon for Apponequet, scoring 26 points in a 51-41 victory over Case in the South Coast Conference.

Reese Codero led the way with 16 points for Whitman-Hanson in a 56-36 victory over Silver Lake in the Patriot League.

Meg Gordon paced Attleboro with 20 points, Emma Reilly had 15 and Ryan Johnson chipped in 13 in a 64-50 Hockomock League win over King Philip.

GYMNASTICS

Powered by a score of 38.1 in the all-around from freshman Bella Misiura, Masconomet registered a 148.1-112.9 win over Peabody

BOYS HOCKEY

Dom Valente’s second goal of the day was the game-winner as Lowell Catholic knocked off Arlington Catholic, 3-2.

Evan McBrien had a pair of goals, including an empty-netter to seal it, as Scituate (7-1) came away with a 3-1 win over North Quincy in the Patriot League.

St. John’s (S) got goals from five different sources, including a goal and an assist from both Mitch Albert and Damon Myers, in a 5-1 win over Malden Catholic in Catholic Conference play.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Sabina Axelrod and Isabel Hulse each scored shorthanded goals while Madison Viitands struck on the power play for Austin Prep (6-0-1) in a 3-0 win over Bishop Fenwick in the Catholic Central.

CO-ED SWIMMING

The quartet of Cole Brooks, Theo Chemel, Jack Grady and Brian Coleman broke school records in both the 200-yard medley and freestyle relays as Marblehead swept Salem and Peabody in a virtual tri-meet.
