Grinch who steals Christmas tree is caught on video
Raynham Police are looking for a true Grinch who broke into a local shop and stole Christmas trees, wreaths and more.
On Monday, police received a report about the break-in, which is believed to have occurred just after midnight at Garden Patch Raynham on New State Highway.
Surveillance footage showed a suspect pushing a dumpster up against the fence surrounding the business, climbing over it and then throwing a Christmas tree over the fence.
The suspect left with two cash registers, a backpack blower, two chainsaws, 30 jars of jam, 20 wreaths, a box of 30 swag decorations, a drill and box of drill bits, and two Rubbermaid containers full of ornaments, police said. The burglar also caused a “significant” amount of property damage.
The burglar is believed to be a white man with a neck tattoo on his right side and tattoos on both hands, police said. He was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt, stocking-style hat, sweatpants and a backpack with webbing worn on the back, and driving a Nissan Rogue.
Police are asking anyone who has information about the incident to call them at 508-824-2716.
